Hundreds of charges issued during traffic checks
Numerous offenses were detected during traffic checks on Tuesday and hundreds of reports were issued. The negative highlight was caused by a Czech in the municipal area of Mauterndorf.
In the district of Tamsweg, almost 6500 vehicles were measured during radar checks. 391 drivers were reported. Seven of them exceeded the speed limit by more than 30 km/h. A Czech driver was measured at 102 km/h on the B 99 in the Mauterndorf area. He had to temporarily surrender his driver's license and pay a security deposit of 650 euros.
During traffic and weighing checks on heavy goods vehicles in Lungau, more than 20 reports were made and five drivers of road trains were banned from continuing their journey.
Almost 1000 euros collected
In Altenmarkt, a 55-year-old car driver from Pongau was measured at around 9 p.m. with a blood alcohol level of 0.98 per mille. His driver's license was confiscated and he will be reported to the police. And in the city of Salzburg, four charges were filed and almost 1000 euros in fines were collected.
