Police officer injured in the neck during a fight in a nightclub

Things got wild in a bar in Innsbruck on Sunday night! Fists were flying between a local and a security employee of Iranian origin. One officer was injured when the police intervened.

The incident happened shortly before 5 am. In a pub in Innsbruck, the 39-year-old Tyrolean and the security employee of the same age, who was of Iranian origin, clashed. Fists were soon flying. Witnesses raised the alarm and informed the police.

The police officer was slightly injured in the incident.

"When the police arrived, the local man attacked an officer with a punch to the left side of his neck," said the investigators. Fortunately, the police officer was only slightly injured. The Tyrolean was immediately handcuffed. Once further investigations have been completed, charges will be filed with the authorities.
