Rumors about the departure of world champion Max Verstappen have been circulating persistently since the affair surrounding team boss Christian Horner. Now Ralf Schumacher is fueling the speculation further. The Formula 1 superstar is set to leave Red Bull and race for Mercedes in 2025, according to the Sky expert on Monday afternoon. That would be a bombshell!

And Red Bull is said to have already found a prominent successor in Fernando Alonso. Horner has "always been a big fan" of the Spaniard, according to Schumacher. The German reports of "great intentions to bring Fernando Alonso into the cockpit next year in order to have another strong driver if Max Verstappen leaves the team". And Schumacher adds: "There are these rumors, and these rumors and information are pretty good."
