Is FC Barcelona still in a financial crisis? Club boss Joan Laporta surprises with statements about seeing "light at the end of the tunnel". With some of the players currently adorning the squad, the club could "earn almost a billion euros".

"We have received offers of 200 million euros for players like Yamal and we have said no. Because we have confidence in the youngster, in his sporting development, and because we have no need, quite the opposite", explained Laporta in the first episode of the club's own podcast "El Podcast del President": "If we said no, it was because we are in a process of economic recovery and see light at the end of the tunnel."

He continued: "We have offers for De Jong, Fermin, Balde, Gavi, Pedri and Araujo, but we don't want to sell them. With the names I've mentioned, we could make almost a billion euros." However, if players want to leave the club, the club will consider the offers. "We are very happy with all of them and we will also buy very selectively to strengthen certain positions," said Laporta.
