Handball players have to face the Germans again

Austria's handball players will face Germany again in the qualifiers for the 2026 European Championships in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The Pot 1 team first faced the Red-White-Red at the European Championship in January (22:22) and in the Olympic qualifiers last Sunday (31:34). Other opponents for the ÖHB team drawn from Pot 2 are Switzerland and Turkey. The European Championship qualifiers kick off in November.

The teams in first and second place in the eight groups and the four best-placed third-placed teams will qualify for the European Championship.
