On Monday evening, a truck driver from Uzbekistan got stuck in a narrow village street in Satteins (Vorarlberg) with his articulated lorry. As it was impossible to rescue him at first, he and a companion had to spend the night there.

The 26-year-old Uzbek, who actually wanted to go to Holland, had become a victim of his navigation system. It diverted him from the A14 at Nenzing and led him directly to Satteinser Gulmstraße. As the road became increasingly narrow, the man was finally forced to reverse. When reversing, however, his refrigerated truck weighing several tons literally dug into the verge and got stuck.

Truck successfully recovered
As it was no longer possible for the towing service to recover the truck because it was getting dark, the Uzbek and his companion had to spend the night in the truck. The next day, the truck was finally recovered with steel cables - and the journey towards Holland could continue.
