Steaming off and celebrating on Lake Wörthersee
On Saturday, Schifffahrt hosted the first cruises on Lake Wörthersee: with music, a lucky draw, mascots and lots of fun!
"That can't shake a sailor" - the old hit was the motto on Saturday morning: despite the rain, the Thalia and the Kärnten were stormed as the Wörthersee shipping company invited guests to the first trips of the season.
Children and adults alike gazed in amazement at the 150 hp engine running at an unwavering rhythm at the heart of the 110-year-old Thalia. The duo AlPe - Alfred on the accordion and Peter on the guitar - entertained the passengers, the view of the lakeside villas was accompanied by the old "Jäger vom Silbertannenwald", the first beers were enjoyed for a morning pint.
"Krone" girl Anja also had her hands full in the sunny afternoon hours: Everyone wanted to buy raffle tickets to get their hands on great prizes at the lucky draw. The donation box was also filled - everything goes to the charitable "Krone hilft" campaign.
Incidentally, the shipping season starts on Easter Sunday.
