Just wanted to help
Drunk daughter-in-law picked up under the influence
A 32-year-old woman from Salzburg must have a good relationship with her mother-in-law. Because when the younger woman caused an accident while drunk, her mother-in-law immediately rushed to help in her car. Unfortunately, she was also drunk. Now both women no longer have a driver's license.
A 32-year-old woman from Salzburg was driving her car on Ofteringer Straße in the municipality of Hörsching at around 7.45 pm on Friday. In a sharp right-hand bend, the woman lost control of the vehicle, drove over a kerb and collided with a traffic sign and a garden fence. All the airbags in the car were deployed. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.76 per mille, the woman was prohibited from continuing to drive and her driving license was temporarily confiscated.
Briefly arrested
Her mother-in-law then came to the scene of the accident in a car and wanted to pick up the 32-year-old. The police officers also noticed clear signs of alcohol impairment in the mother-in-law. The mother-in-law also tested positive for alcohol (0.88 per mille) and her driver's license was also temporarily confiscated. The 32-year-old then became increasingly aggressive and even had to be detained for ten minutes.
