J.-M. Riiber misses season finale due to injury

Season dominator Jarl Magnus Riiber will miss the season finale of the Nordic Combined World Cup this weekend in Trondheim! 

The Norwegian is suffering from a knee ligament that will prevent him from competing on the hill. The Norwegian federation announced this on Friday, along with Mari Leinan Lund's absence due to a knee injury suffered during jump training on site.

Winning end to the season for Rettenegger and Lamparter?
Riiber has won 16 of the 20 competitions so far this winter and has been the overall winner for some time now. His absence increases the chances of his first pursuers Stefan Rettenegger and Johannes Lamparter of a victorious end to the season on Sunday. On Saturday, a mixed team competition is on the program at the World Championship venue.

The women will also be competing in a final individual competition on Sunday, and here too the decision for the big crystal globe has already been made. Norway's Ida Marie Hagen won ahead of her compatriots Gyda Westvold Hansen and Leinan Lund, who has now dropped out.
