How you can help pupils get better grades
The "heart project" of two private tutors from Carinthia also enables those who cannot afford it financially to receive help at school.
Andrea Lukasser from Pörtschach has been tutoring Italian for 25 years and has been running the comunico language school since the pandemic. Now, together with Sandra Schrottenbacher from SoleLingua, she has launched a project close to her heart.
"The idea came to me when a lot of people in my daughter's class needed help with Italian," Lukasser tells the Krone. She helped the pupils several times on a voluntary basis, as not everyone can afford private tuition in times of inflation. The Pörtschach native wanted to find a solution to this problem.
"Double the help!"
This is how the tutoring sponsorships came about: "That's double the help!" This model allows charitable organizations, companies and private individuals to cover the tutoring costs for pupils in need, giving them the chance of a positive future. "The children get the tutoring they need but perhaps can't afford and then get better grades!"
The tutoring is offered online or on site in the subjects Italian, German and English: "Anyone who wants to make a contribution can do so". A sponsorship costs 169 euros per month. All information is available here or at info@comunico.at
