Shots fired at private party: three dead, four injured
A private party in the US state of Arkansas ended in tragedy early on Sunday morning. In an unoccupied building near the center of the small town of Jonesboro, a man opened fire on the partygoers. The police found three dead and several injured.
When officers arrived at the scene shortly before 5 a.m., they found several victims with gunshot wounds. The suspect in the crime knew the male and female victims who were killed, as well as another female victim who was injured, the Jonesboro police announced on their Facebook account (the post has since been deleted, ed.).
The suspected shooter, who is among the three dead, had been in a relationship with one of the female victims, police spokeswoman Sally Smith told CNN. The motive for the crime was initially unclear.
Another woman, who is also said to have known the alleged perpetrator, and four other people were injured and taken to hospital, the AP news agency reported.
