Victory against Wolfsburg
Leverkusen vs. Wolfsburg – LIVE from 7.30 pm
At the end of the 25th round of the German Bundesliga, leaders Bayer Leverkusen won against VfL Wolfsburg. After the 2-0 win, they are already very close to the title. The Bayer team was completely unimpressed by Bayern's 8:1 victory over Mainz.
Leverkusen lived up to their role as favorites against Wolfsburg thanks to goals from Nathan Tella (36') and Florian Wirtz (86'). Wolfsburg's Moritz Jenz was shown a yellow card in the 28th minute. The superior league leaders secured their sixth league win in a row and also survived their 36th competitive match unbeaten.
With 21 wins, Bayer have now not only equaled the club record for wins in a Bundesliga season, but also have as many victories and only four points fewer than last year's champions Bayern at the end of the season. The runners-up had already dispatched Mainz 8:1 in the match of the 25th round on Saturday.
