Shooting star extends contract with FC Bayern Munich
It's official now! Mathys Tel has signed a new contract with FC Bayern. The Frenchman has extended his contract, which was originally due to expire in 2027, by a further two years.
Tel moved to the German record champions in 2022 and after a mixed first season at Bayern, he made his breakthrough this season. The 18-year-old has made 20 appearances in 24 Bundesliga games, scoring four goals and providing three assists. Tel also has two goals and one assist to his name in the Champions League this year.
Interest from England
The youngster's future in Munich was recently uncertain, with Manchester United in particular said to have had Tel high on their wish list. With the contract extension, FC Bayern now has a key player for the future in its ranks for the longer term.
