Moped driver (16) overlooked car – four injured

A teenager in Erlauf in the district of Melk (Lower Austria) overlooked the car of a 24-year-old man when turning off on his moped. The car and the two-wheeler collided. His passenger (15) was also injured in the collision. 

When turning onto the B1, the moped driver overlooked the car of a 24-year-old. The teenager crashed his moped and suffered injuries. His 15-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries to her hands in the collision. Both had to be taken to Amstetten Regional Hospital. 

The car driver and his 21-year-old passenger required medical treatment for minor injuries. 

Charge for 16-year-old
The moped driver was reported to the Melk district authority. He had more than 0.1 per mille in his blood, which is prohibited when driving a moped under the age of 20.
