"I don't like it"
“Planless!” Hummels brother settles accounts with Tuchel
TV pundit Jonas Hummels, brother of ex-Bayern player Mats, has clearly settled accounts with Thomas Tuchel. The Bayern coach seems haphazard and conveys poor body language. He also raises the question of whether the 50-year-old can still be managed at all.
"It was definitely the right decision to part ways at the end of the season. The only question is what to do now until the end of the season," said DAZN soccer expert Hummels, lashing out at the Bayern coach. And this directly after an interview in which the 50-year-old expressed his displeasure at the draw against Freiburg.
"I thought he was relatively clear in the interview. I usually find him cynical and sarcastic. Which I find funny because it's my kind of humor. But as a player, I don't know. Not as an official anyway," Hummels went on to criticize.
Hard-hitting reckoning
Tuchel always seems "a bit haphazard" to him. The expert is also unable to explain the fluctuations in performance at the record champions. However, the 33-year-old also sees the coach as being responsible here: "Why you can't manage to set the structure yourself in a game like this. Why do you have to wait until half-time to change to a back three? To be honest, I don't understand that."
In the end, Bayern had to settle for a draw against Freiburg, despite putting in a good performance in the second half and taking the lead. But even in this phase, Tuchel's body language would be a disruptive element, Hummels added fuel to the fire: "He stays seated when the goals are scored. Everyone cheers, he stays seated. I personally don't like that, not at all."
