Police catch duo after series of burglaries
The perpetrators ransacked several cellar compartments and stole items worth 25,000 euros. They have now been caught by the police.
An attentive witness reported a suspicious car to the police in Pressbaum in the Vienna Woods. The car without license plates showed damage from a night-time accident. Stolen property from cellar compartments in Tulln, burglary tools and drugs were seized in the vehicle. Two Slovakians who were found near the car were arrested on the spot.
At the same time, a report was received about a bicycle theft in Pressbaum, which was apparently also the work of the two suspects.
Several cellar compartments looted
Further meticulous investigations revealed that the investigators had apparently found serial offenders. A total of 13 burglaries in cellar compartments in Pressbaum, Purkersdorf and Tulln within three months could be attributed to the two Slovaks, aged 34 and 39 - imprisonment!
