Freiburg want to halt their downward slide against Bayern of all teams. Rumors about coach Streich are also doing the rounds.

Six goals against Werder Bremen, five against Mainz, four against Frankfurt and Augsburg ... Michael Gregoritsch has already scored against every current German Bundesliga team, with only one "stain" remaining on his hit list: Bayern Munich. 14 games, twelve defeats, a single win (in the Cup in April 2023), still no goals - whether with Bochum. HSV, Schalke, Augsburg or now Freiburg, Gregerl's record against the German serial champions is disastrous. The next attempt was made today, as the Breisgau side aim to halt their free fall (just one point from the last five rounds).

The favorite for the job is Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso. However, Bayern would have to pay between 15 and 25 million euros to buy the Spaniard out of his contract early. Alonso is also hotly tipped for Liverpool.
