Four injured in accident with kindergarten bus

The parents waited in vain for their children to come home from kindergarten. The van was rammed by a car on Thursday afternoon in the midday hours in the district of Perg (Upper Austria). Result: four injured.

A 74-year-old man from Mühlviertel was driving his kindergarten van on the B3 towards Arbing in the municipality of Baumgartenberg at around 12.30 p.m. on Thursday and wanted to take two boys (aged four and five) home from Baumgartenberg.

The pensioner wanted to turn left at the junction with Güterweg Deiming, turned left and reduced speed. At this point, an 18-year-old woman from Klam was driving her car behind the van and apparently overlooked the turning maneuver.

The car rammed into the rear of the van. The two boys were taken to the Kepler University Hospital with undetermined injuries. The two drivers were also injured to an undetermined degree; they were taken to Linz University Hospital. No one's life is in danger.
