Queen Camilla gets a new title
If you're already Queen of Great Britain, you might think you've had enough of this high dignity. While Queen Camilla is currently having to stand in for her husband due to King Charles III's cancer treatment, she has been given a new title.
King Charles III returned to London this week after a week-long stay at his country estate Sandringham to undergo cancer treatment. He will not be attending any public appointments during this time.
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla is taking on some of his royal duties - she was invited by the Fan Makers' Guild on Tuesday and has been an Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers ever since. She was made an honorary member of the guild in a ceremony.
This organization used to be the professional association for fan makers, but today it is more of a charitable institution. The Queen was nevertheless presented with a cape and a beautiful example of the eponymous accessory. The 76-year-old was accompanied at the event by the Duchess of Gloucester, who has held the title since 2015.
