On Friday evening, paramedics from the Samaritans discovered a pistol and brass knuckles on a patient they were treating in Vienna's Simmering district for a fall caused by his alcoholization. Police officers then uncovered a veritable arsenal of weapons in the apartment.

The unruly man insulted the police officers and stated that he had other weapons at home.

The officers from the Kaiser-Ebersdorfer-Straße police station then searched his apartment and discovered numerous weapons, including prohibited weapons such as two walking sticks with concealed blades and a telescopic baton with an iron tip. The items were seized and the 58-year-old was reported to the police. 

Officers also discovered that the Viennese man was actually banned from owning weapons.
