16-year-old found dead in Vienna apartment

A 16-year-old girl was found dead in an apartment in the 17th district on Monday. She had gone with a 44-year-old man to his apartment the previous evening because she needed a place to sleep.

A teenager was found dead in a strange apartment in Vienna-Hernals on Monday. The apartment belongs to a 44-year-old man who had met the girl in the Gumpendorfer Straße area. According to the police, both are believed to come from the drug scene.

No suspicion of third-party involvement
Initial investigations had revealed that the 16-year-old had approached the man for a place to sleep. He then probably took her to his place. There had been no sexual contact between the two.

The next day, the man initially thought that she was asleep, only then did he notice that she was no longer breathing and set the rescue chain in motion. However, all help came too late for the teenager.

"At the moment, there is no suspicion of third-party involvement, but a final autopsy result is not yet available," the police told the "Krone".
