Numerous firefighters are currently extinguishing the fire in Villach. A fire broke out on the premises of a company in the Untere Fellach district.

Nine fire departments from Villach were deployed to extinguish the fire in the Untere Fellach district shortly after midday on Sunday. Several pipes had caught fire in the outdoor storage area of a company site. Due to the enormous heat development and the wind, the flames then spread to the adjacent warehouse. "The fire has now been brought under control," reports Weinstich. The firefighters who intervened had to carry out some of the extinguishing work with heavy breathing protection. A total of 120 firefighters from Villach were deployed. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
