Investigators struck when dealer was selling heroin

A 37-year-old heroin dealer was caught red-handed by the police in Wels. In addition to the drugs, the drug dealer also had a house key with him - and this opened the door for further investigations.

As has now become known, investigators caught a 37-year-old Serbian from Wels red-handed on February 6 while he was selling drugs in the trade fair city. The 37-year-old had cash, a small amount of heroin and an apartment key with him while dealing.

And this key proved to be a literal door opener for further investigations. The public prosecutor's office in Wels ordered a search of the apartment.

Five-figure street value
The investigators then found all kinds of evidence there: two originally packaged heroin slabs, each containing 250 grams, as well as other small bags of the dangerous drug - a total of 631 grams of heroin with a five-figure street value was seized.

37-year-old admits to heroin trafficking
The Serbian also stored 37 grams of cocaine, two cell phones and a laptop in his apartment - he was arrested.

The 37-year-old then partially confessed and admitted to dealing heroin. He was taken to Wels prison.
