Teenager stole 80-year-old woman’s wallet at the doctor’s

A visit to the doctor came to an unpleasant end for an 80-year-old pensioner in Waldhausen. After leaving the doctor's surgery, her wallet including cash, debit card, e-card and several customer cards were missing. A 14-year-old schoolboy got long fingers. 

On Tuesday afternoon, the 14-year-old pupil and the 80-year-old woman were at a doctor's surgery in Waldhausen at the same time. The local teenager probably took advantage of this to reach into the pensioner's handbag. He stole the purse containing 50 euros in cash, the ATM card and the e-card and went straight to the nearest tobacconist.

There he made five purchases from the cigarette machine and pocketed the 50 euros in cash before disposing of the purse in a public garbage can.

Everything admitted
On Thursday, the 80-year-old woman filed a complaint, the suspect was identified and admitted everything. He returned the items he had bought and showed the police the garbage can where he had disposed of the purse. He will be reported to the Linz public prosecutor's office.
