On Monday afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B156 in Nußdorf am Haunsberg. For reasons as yet unexplained, a small truck driving towards Lamprechtshausen collided head-on with a car.

The 46-year-old truck driver and his 15-year-old co-driver (both from Flachgau) were injured to an indeterminate degree. However, they were able to free themselves from the vehicle.

The 90-year-old driver of the car (also from Flachgau) had to be freed from the vehicle by the Nußdorf volunteer fire department and also suffered injuries of indeterminate severity. The people involved were taken to hospital by the Red Cross. The B156 had to be completely closed for the duration of the vehicle recovery and accident investigation. The exact circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
