Transformer on fire on ÖBB Tauern line in Parsch

The Salzburg professional fire department was called to a transformer fire in Parsch this morning. The fire was extinguished a few minutes after the fire department arrived and the incident command was handed over to ÖBB. 

The Austrian Federal Railways confirmed the fire in Salzburg-Parsch. A fuse box started to burn. The transformer is located on a section with eight tracks relatively in the middle, which is why it was not easy for the fire department to get there. All trains therefore had to be stopped.

The Tauern line was blocked for 20 minutes due to the transformer fire. The block has been lifted and there will be no further delays, according to ÖBB.
