The Formula 1 GP in Austin is now also causing discussion and anger beyond controversial decisions on the track: As the track was stormed by around 200 fans before the end of the race, the organizers have now been fined 500,000 US dollars!

What happened: During the final lap of the US Grand Prix, which ended with a Ferrari one-two victory, some extremely enthusiastic Formula 1 fans had apparently made their way from the spectator area onto the infield of the race track.

According to the FIA, they went to great lengths, climbing over two fences and overcoming a two-meter deep ditch - all just to get as close as possible to their stars and their cars. Without thinking about the associated dangers for themselves and Charles Leclerc and Co.

350,000 euros suspended until the end of 2026
