Leoben: Unknown persons stole a waiter’s purse

Brazen theft on Tuesday afternoon in Leoben: Two unknown perpetrators stole a "waiter's wallet" that was lying unobserved behind the counter of a pub. A witness tried to catch them, but they fled. An immediate manhunt was also unsuccessful.

It was a cleverly planned crime that took place on Tuesday afternoon in the town of Leoben: one of the two strangers sneaked into the bar while his accomplice kept watch in the entrance area. Once at the bar, the perpetrator grabbed the so-called "waiter's wallet", which was lying unobserved behind the counter.

Witness tried to catch the thieves
At this moment, a woman came out of the toilet and caught the thief in the act. She tried to stop him and confront him, but the two strangers immediately fled with the purse. A manhunt was launched, but was initially unsuccessful. The amount of damage is likely to be in the low four-figure range.
