As the "Krone" already reported on Thursday, the Norwegian defensive player Tobias Börkeeiet will join Rapid. The Hütteldorfer officially announced this on Friday. The 25-year-old will sign a contract that initially runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Rapid has once again expanded its squad. The Bundesliga club announced the signing of Norwegian Tobias Börkeeiet on Friday. The 25-year-old, who has mostly played in defensive midfield, is moving to Vienna from Rosenborg Trondheim. He had previously failed to establish himself as a talent at Brøndby in Denmark.

Flexible to use
"At almost 1.90 meters, he is a tall player who can play both in the midfield six and in central defense," explained Markus Katzer, Rapids' managing director of sport.

Börkeeiet brings experience, the necessary understanding of the game and good technique. "He will also help our squad in terms of width so that we can prepare even better for the busy program in the coming months," said Katzer with a view to the European autumn.
