Road to Gargellen relocated by Mure

A heavy thunderstorm hit the Montafon on Tuesday night. Due to the immense amount of rainfall, a mudslide occurred in the area of the Pfoppner Tobel (municipality of St. Gallenkirch) and buried the main road 192 to Gargellen. 

The landslide occurred shortly before midnight. The L192 had to be closed due to the masses of earth. According to the police, the road will be cleared during the course of Tuesday and then reopened to traffic.

Landslides also kept the fire department busy in other parts of St. Gallenkirch - however, no major damage or closures were reported.
