Driver drove into a stairwell and got stuck

A car driver made a mistake in the driveway in St. Johann in Salzburg on Monday. Instead of driving into the underground parking garage of a building, the 70-year-old Tyrolean ended up in the stairwell.

The pensioner actually just wanted to park her car on Monday afternoon. To do so, she drove into a building in St. Johann, supposedly in the direction of the underground parking garage. However, she may have missed the entrance and instead entered the staircase to the basement on the right.

The Tyrolean woman's car got stuck in the middle of the stairs. Only the St. Johann volunteer fire department was able to free the car from its predicament. The driver remained uninjured. According to the police, an alcohol test carried out on her was negative.
