The reality show queen posed on her Instagram with a new gray-blonde hairstyle. The problem with the braided curls: For many, they are reminiscent of the wigs worn by America's founding fathers in the 18th century.

Other Kim Kardashian haters found even more historical and fictional role models for the 43-year-old's new look. Marie Antoinette, "Game of Thrones" character Daenerys Targaryen and Elsa from "Frozen" were mentioned the most.

Behind the new hairstyle is Kardashian's long-time hairdresser Chris Appleton, who shared the same pictures of Kim on his Instagram. Interesting fact: he mainly received praise from his followers for his "hair artistry".
