The Equal Treatment Commission has reprimanded Carinthia's Wutwirt Stefan Lercher after he refused to let "vegans, hippies, ecologists and Arabs" into his restaurant - but he stands by his opinion.

With his campaign to stop "vegans, hippies, ecologists and Arabs" from entering his restaurant, Millstatt's Wutwirt Stefan Lercher became known far beyond the country's borders(we reported). He was repeatedly criticized for the racism scandal and was reported to the police.

More than a year later, the Upper Carinthian is now causing a stir again: the Equal Opportunities Commission is threatening further charges.

In the latest letter, he is asked to make "clearly recognizable and permanent" reference to the Equal Treatment Act on his website and when posting on social media. He should also emphasize that no one is discriminated against because of their ethnicity and that those affected can contact the Ombud for Equal Treatment.

"I certainly won't do that, and I couldn't care less about the threatened waves of lawsuits," rages Lercher in an interview with the "Krone" newspaper. He wants to stand by his opinion in future too: "It's still my decision who comes to my restaurant. I certainly won't put up with everything!"
