Heat development: Magenta recalls chargers

Due to two incidents, the domestic mobile phone provider Magenta is recalling two chargers as a precautionary measure. According to a press release issued by the company late on Wednesday, they have generated "excessive heat".

The chargers affected by the recall are the Baseus Super Si Pro Quick Charger 30W Black and Baseus Super Si Pro Quick Charger 30W White, which were purchased between December 2023 and June 2024 in one of the provider's stores in Austria.

To avoid risks, consumers are asked to return the recalled product to a Magenta store. The purchase price will be refunded and affected customers will also receive a 30 percent voucher on all smartphone accessories.
