Worker fell nine meters to his death at construction site

He had installed a safety guard to prevent anyone from falling. And fell nine meters to his death while assembling the protective scaffolding platform. The man from Mühlviertel presumably simply lost his footing when the crane operator was supposed to hoist him up in Kirchdorf.

At around 12.50 p.m. on Monday, a fatal accident occurred at a construction site for an apartment building in Kirchdorf an der Krems. The 54-year-old man was attaching a safety scaffolding platform to the rope of the crane. He then stood on the scaffolding platform and held on to the rope.

He gave the signal himself
The worker gave the crane operator the go-ahead to lift the safety scaffolding platform and transport it to the roof of the building shell. The worker from Kollerschlag lost his grip and fell nine meters. The emergency doctor was only able to determine his death.
