Fire department operation due to overheated hay barn

The fire department had to be called out on a public holiday in Tyrol. The reason: smoke was developing in the hayloft of a farm. Ten fire department vehicles were deployed.

The fire department in Schwaz had to respond to a farm at around 9.25 a.m. on Thursday due to heavy smoke. The smoke was caused by the high temperature of wet hay in the hay barn. To prevent a fire from breaking out, the wet hay had to be removed from the barn and laid out to dry in a covered area.

No injured persons
No people were injured as a result of the incident. 34 members of the Schwaz fire brigade, nine members of the Vomp fire brigade with a total of 10 vehicles and an ambulance were deployed.
