Climbed over crash barrier: search operation for man

A male person had first thrown his bicycle over the crash barrier and then climbed over it himself and disappeared - this information prompted the police to launch a search operation. And they found what they were looking for.

At around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Landeck police received a report that a male person had first thrown his bicycle over the guardrail on route 76 in the municipality of Fliess and then climbed over it himself and disappeared. Due to the terrain there, an accident was feared.

Bicycle found 15 meters below
So the police launched a large-scale search operation. The bicycle was found about 15 meters below the country road, but there was no trace of the man. In addition to two police alpinists, the Landeck fire department and drone were also requested.

Reason: overwhelmed with traffic
The drone was finally able to find a person in the rough terrain on the eastern bank of the Inn near the Schlossgalerie Landeck at 17:34. It was a 30-year-old Bulgarian man. He was rescued unharmed. The reason given for his behavior was that he had been overwhelmed by the traffic on the L 76 and had therefore looked for another way to Landeck.
