Smoke developing in the track area of the U3 Landstraße underground line

On Thursday, the Vienna Fire Department was called out to a fire alarm at the Landstraße U3 station.

On Thursday afternoon, the fire department responded to the U3 Landstraße station. Various debris in the track area may have led to a small fire, which caused smoke to spread on the track. The station was then evacuated and the passengers evacuated.

Operation ended
The small fire was quickly extinguished, but the surrounding area was checked again as a precaution. "We were on site for less than an hour. From our point of view, the operation is over," said Jürgen Figerl, spokesman for the Vienna Fire Brigade to the "Krone". Service on the U3 line will therefore be resumed shortly.
