What we know so far:
This is how Richard Lugner is planning his “last wedding”
At the age of 91, master builder and society star Richard Lugner wants to walk down the aisle one last time and celebrate his "last wedding". What we know so far:
Lugner and Reiländer want to promise each other twice: On June 1, 2024, he will marry his partner Simone Reiländer in a civil ceremony. But the couple also want God's blessing. And that's why another ceremony is planned in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna in October.
Blessing in St. Stephen's Cathedral
Cathedral priest Toni Faber will give him and his "little bee", as Lugner baptized his almost 50 years younger companion, a church blessing in St. Stephen's Cathedral on 12 October, he announced. That would be the day after his 92nd birthday.
Second attempt
The choice of his bride is no surprise: Reiländer was already his partner in 2021 and engaged to him. Only time will tell whether their love will last this time.
It is his sixth marriage, but also his last, as Lugner emphasized: "But I have always strived for a long-term relationship," said the master builder.
Jacky's wedding date not known
As far as his daughter Jacqueline's wedding is concerned, he has not yet received an invitation and therefore could not take her into consideration when planning the date, he let the "Krone" know.
"I don't even know the date of Jacky's wedding, so I can't take it into account. Perhaps Mausi knows more than I do," he explained.
Mausivetoes
As reported, his ex-wife Christina "Mausi" Lugner vetoed his wedding date of June 1 via "Krone".
"My dearest ex-husband! In my capacity as the female head of the Lugner family, you are banned from marrying before our daughter gets married," she told Mörtel.
