Man broke police officer’s hand during arrest
An apparently drunk and shouting man injured several police officers at Vienna Central Station on Saturday night. He even broke the metacarpal bone of one of them. He is now said to have no memory of the incident.
Police officers were called to Vienna Central Station at around 1 a.m. on Friday night because of an intoxicated and noisy man.
However, the 33-year-old troublemaker was not very pleased to see the officers and immediately began to swear at them. Despite repeated requests to stop his aggressive behavior, he did not stop, which is why he was provisionally arrested. But even the arrest did not suit the man at all. Among other things, he resisted by kicking, injuring two of the police officers.
Amnesia after the crime?
In the stop area, the man continued his violent behavior and injured an officer who tried to bring him into the stop room. The police officer suffered a fracture to his metacarpal bone as a result.
All three injured officers were unable to continue their duties. During questioning, the 33-year-old stated that he could not remember anything. By order of the Vienna public prosecutor's office, the man was taken to a prison.
