"Frontal" in the Pinzgau
Police had to send away accident gawkers
A head-on traffic accident with three people injured occurred on the Gerlosstraße (B165) near Mittersill on Friday evening: A driver from Carinthia (60) crashed head-on into the car of a man from Pinzgau (17). The police reported that onlookers had to be sent away.
Three people were injured in the serious traffic accident, according to the police. What seems clear from the investigation: a Carinthian (60) was probably driving his car on the B165 towards Hollersbach. At the same time, a 17-year-old was driving his car in the opposite direction. Both vehicles collided and both cars are now a total loss.
The exact circumstances of the accident are unclear. For this reason, the public prosecutor's office has ordered the seizure of both vehicles involved in the accident and commissioned an expert to carry out an appraisal.
So far, the three injured persons have not been fit for questioning, according to the police. They were taken to nearby hospitals by the ambulance service. The Mittersill fire department was able to clear the scene of the accident within an hour.
Onlookers as a problem
Addition in the police report: "In addition to the first responders, who looked after the injured until the emergency services arrived, numerous onlookers also gathered at the scene of the accident and had to be turned away by police officers."
