Germany to co-host the 2029 Handball World Championship
Germany will co-host the 2029 Men's World Handball Championship, the International Handball Federation (IHF) announced on Tuesday. Germany's partner is France, and Paris will be the venue for the opening match and the final round. According to the German association, there are plans to involve other nations.

The extent to which Austria could play a role remains to be seen. When asked, the ÖHB said that no details were yet known about what Austria's role might look like. No concrete considerations have therefore been made to date.
Germany is already hosting the Women's World Cup together with the Netherlands in 2025 and the Men's World Cup as sole host in 2027.
