Crashed in a field
Swerving maneuver by car cost cyclist dearly
You don't have a crumple zone on two wheels - a cyclist in Eitzing had to make this painful experience on Thursday. A young car driver wanted to overtake him. When another car came towards him, he pulled his car back to the right and hit the cyclist.
An 18-year-old car driver from the district of Ried im Innkreis was driving on the L1083 towards Eitzing at around 5.24 p.m. on Thursday. In the municipality of Eitzing, he overtook a cyclist traveling in the same direction. In doing so, he probably overlooked an oncoming car. In order to avoid a collision, the 18-year-old steered his car to the right again and hit the 34-year-old cyclist from the district of Ried im Innkreis.
Both drivers provided first aid
