Premier League
Crystal Palace – Manchester City from 13.30 LIVE
Manchester City were a size too big for Crystal Palace and coach Oliver Glasner on Saturday!
The English soccer champions celebrated a 4:2 away win against the Londoners and drew level on points with leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table. The "Reds" are in action away against Manchester United on Sunday. It was Crystal Palace's second defeat in a row and their fifth match in a row without a win.
Game clearly dominated by the visitors after the break
The home side got off to a dream start and took the lead through Jean-Philippe Mateta (3'). City countered ten minutes later and Kevin de Bruyne flicked the ball into the far corner. After a reasonably even first half, the game was clearly dominated by the visitors after the break.
Rico Lewis (47'), Erling Haaland (66') and De Bruyne again (70') secured a deserved win for the current treble winners, with Odsonne Édouard (86') only managing to add the finishing touches. Man City thus completed a successful dress rehearsal for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Real Madrid.
Glasner's record with Crystal Palace stands at one win, two draws and three defeats.
