Explosions in Crimea: drone attacks reported

The Russian naval port of Sevastopol on the occupied Crimean peninsula was once again the target of Ukrainian drone and missile attacks on Saturday. Videos circulated on social media in which heavy explosions could be seen and heard.

The Russian air defense launched more than ten missiles and numerous drones in the evening, the state agency TASS reported. Shortly beforehand, traffic across the Crimean bridge between the peninsula and the Russian mainland had been temporarily halted.

State media: woman and child injured
According to Russian reports, a woman and a child were injured in the attack on Sevastopol. Reports of heavy explosions in the port of Sevastopol and possible hits on a ship moored there were circulating on social media. The reports could not be independently confirmed.

Missile attack on Kharkiv
For its part, the Russian military targeted the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. According to reports in the Ukrainian media, several missiles hit the city during the course of the day. At least one person was killed.
