Pingauer transferred 38,000 euros to fraudsters

A 51-year-old man from Pongau became a victim of fraudsters. The man found an advertisement for investments with photos of famous people on social media back in November 2023. These allegedly advertised crypto investments. By the beginning of February 2024, the man had transferred almost 38,000 euros to foreign accounts in a total of five transactions. The fraud has only now been uncovered. 

When the man from Pinzgau wanted to have his winnings paid out, he was asked to pay around 35,000 euros again. This made him suspicious, which is why he finally filed a complaint with the police this week. In the meantime, the victim no longer has access to his user account. The investigation is ongoing.
