Bikers beware: Gang hunts down motorcycles

In the greater Krems area, five motorcycles have already been stolen by unknown persons from partially locked garages in the past few days. The police are investigating at full speed.

If you live in the Krems area and own a motorcycle, you should keep a particularly close eye on it at the moment. Because a gang is currently up to mischief, targeting high-priced two-wheelers. Five bikes have been stolen in the past two weeks. The strangers struck for the first time in a garage of an apartment building in Krems, which they presumably entered via an unlocked access door. Investigators searched in vain for signs of burglary. The perpetrators took two Ducatis.

Two other motorcycles were also stolen in Krems between March 13 and 16. A KTM was stolen from a garage secured by a barrier system. A Yamaha was left locked in a public parking lot. Most recently, a KTM was stolen from an underground parking garage in Gföhl on Wednesday night. The entrance door had previously been broken open. The police are feverishly searching for the gang.

Small truck disappeared from parking lot without a trace
It is still unclear whether the series is connected to the theft of a small truck that disappeared at night from a freely accessible storage area of a company in Gföhl. The vehicle had been parked there locked and disappeared without a trace along with the tools stored in it, it is reported.
