Man stabbed landlord: committal to institution
The jury quickly reached a verdict at the trial on Friday and the decision of the regional court is already final: a 35-year-old man from Yemen must be sent to a forensic therapeutic center.
An expert opinion certifies that the man is highly dangerous and suffers from severe schizophrenia. Just how dangerous the Yemeni man actually is was revealed on November 6 of the previous year.
The "Krone" reported on the bloody deed. The 35-year-old asylum seeker stabbed his landlord (61) six times in his apartment in Salzburg-Parsch. The victim was in the apartment with an estate agent, the 35-year-old's tenancy agreement had expired. The landlord had to undergo emergency surgery. The reason for the knife attack? In his delusion, the man had mistaken the 61-year-old for a dangerous "reptile".
