Indian Wells: Out for Djokovic conqueror Nardi

The ATP 1000 tournament in Indian Wells has come to an end for tennis shooting star Luca Nardi. The world number 123, who sensationally defeated Novak Djokovic in the third round, lost 4:6, 3:6 to American Tommy Paul in the round of 16 on Wednesday. Top players Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune, on the other hand, made it through to the quarter-finals.

Rune beat the 2022 winner Taylor Fritz 2:6,7:6(2),6:3 and will face Russia's Medvedev in a top duel in the quarter-finals. The latter had little trouble against the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 6:4,6:4.

Rune is already looking forward to the duel against the world number four: "I'm a player who will attack. I don't care who I play, I will definitely attack".
