Two grandpas stood out for the Eagles

While the Villach Eagles are already on vacation after their very mediocre performance in the quarter-final against Bolzano, the "Krone" graded the performance of the individual cracks over the entire season. The two oldies were the best, but four fives were also awarded. .

Grade 1

JP Lamoureux: The 39-year-old goalie was the best Eagle this year. A backstop all season.

John Hughes: Still a weapon at 36. Currently second on the ICE points list with 66 points (17 goals, 49 assists).

Grade 2

Dylan MacPherson: The positive appearance. The defenseman is strong offensively and defensively. 13 goals this season say it all.

Kevin Hancock: The longer the season went on, the better. Yield: 17 goals, 35 assists.

Maxi Rebernig: Mixed up the opposition up front, plus ten goals.

Grade 3

Andrew Desjardins: A fighter's heart par excellence. But he's not getting any younger, he's already 37.

Alex Rauchenwald: Many ups and downs. Goalless in the last 20 games.

Robert Sabolic: Fair-weather bomber! Okay during the year, harmless in the play-offs. Zero goals last season, two this year.

Felix Maxa: Always gives his all. One of the best shorthanded players.

Elias Wallenta: One of the rising stars. Dangerous in front of goal (10 goals). Benji Lanzinger: When he played, he often scored important goals.

Alex Wall: Took some time to get going, a mainstay from the end of January.

Grade 4

Arturs Kulda: Not enough for a legionnaire. Physically he was zero.

Mark Katic: One of the most expensive players. Was never the leader he had hoped for.

Philipp Lindner: From the high-flyer of the last few years to a "mistake-phobe". Then more stable in the play-offs.

Niklas Wetzl: Good last season, didn't stand out this year.

Anthony Luciani: Great at night, a flop on the ice.

Blaz Tomazevic: The relegated player! Even the great fourth quarter-final match didn't save him.
